Healthcare Training Specialist

The Healthcare Training Specialist plays a crucial role in designing and delivering educational programs for non-credit health workforce initiatives. Key responsibilities include facilitating training sessions for non-credit health programs, assessing student progress, maintaining effective communication with clinical partners, administering clinical competency evaluations, and providing guidance to students regarding their academic performance.

The specialist is expected to comply with clinical training standards, conduct laboratory sessions, prepare instructional materials, and modify teaching strategies based on participant feedback.

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant healthcare discipline
  • Certification as an Allied Health Instructor
  • A minimum of two years of clinical practice
  • Preferred: Three years of experience in the healthcare industry
  • Preferred certifications in Medical Assisting, Phlebotomy, EKG, and/or Pharmacy
  • Experience in instructional roles
  • Familiarity with non-credit education and adult learning principles
  • Prior experience in online teaching environments

Proficiency in instructional methodologies, industry standards, communication skills, Microsoft Office applications, and compliance with FERPA/HIPAA regulations is essential. The specialist must possess expertise in a healthcare domain and be capable of developing lesson plans that align with educational objectives.

Compensation: $43,453 - $65,179 annually, based on experience
