Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Elementary Foreign Language Teacher to join our team at Soliant. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for language education, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement a comprehensive foreign language curriculum for elementary students, incorporating a range of teaching methods and resources to accommodate different learning styles.
  • Lesson Planning: Create engaging and interactive lesson plans that promote active learning and language acquisition, including opportunities for students to develop their speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
  • Instruction: Teach fundamental language skills, including grammar, vocabulary, and cultural awareness, using a variety of teaching techniques to cater to different learning needs.
  • Cultural Exposure: Introduce students to various cultures associated with the language being taught, promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.
  • Assessment: Assess and monitor student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback to help students achieve their full potential.
  • Communication: Regularly communicate with parents and guardians about student progress and classroom activities, keeping them informed and involved in their child's education.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to promote a cohesive and supportive educational experience, sharing best practices and expertise to enhance student outcomes.
Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Education, Foreign Language, or a related field.
  • Certification: Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Foreign Language Education.
  • Experience: Previous experience teaching foreign language to elementary students is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong classroom management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to create a positive learning environment.
