Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technician Certified to join our team at HCA Florida Blake Hospital. As a Surgical or Operating Room Tech, you will play a vital role in preparing and caring for our surgical patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble and prepare sterile instrument tables for surgical procedures.
  • Assist in positioning patients and preparing their skin for surgery.
  • Maintain sterile techniques and monitor situations that could lead to breaches in sterile technique.
  • Pass instruments, sponges, and sutures to the surgical team during procedures.
  • Assist in monitoring patients during procedures.
  • Gather equipment for cleaning and sterilization after procedures.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program.
  • Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CAAHEP, NCCT, NBSTSA).
  • BLS (American Heart or American Red Cross) certification.
  • Hospital-based Surgical Tech experience preferred.
  • Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 pounds.
