Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain a sterile environment for surgical procedures, including setting up and arranging equipment and supplies.
- Assist the surgical team during procedures, including passing instruments, sponges, and sutures, and monitoring the patient's condition.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, including inventory management and supply ordering.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Graduate of an approved surgical technologist program.
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CAAHEP, NCCT, NBSTSA).
- BLS (American Heart or American Red Cross) certification.
- Experience in a hospital-based surgical setting preferred.
- Ability to lift and move patients and equipment up to 50 pounds.
