Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer SLED

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in a defined territory. As a key member of our sales organization, you will work closely with an Account Manager to support the sales process and provide technical expertise to customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Pre-sales: Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint, ensuring that our solutions meet the customer's needs.
  • Sales calls: Serve as the primary technical resource on sales calls, providing expert guidance on features, specifications, and functionality to customers and partners.
  • Post-sales: Lead the technical support for identified accounts, working closely with the technical support team and engineering to resolve customer issues.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years of experience in technical/presales support as a sales or systems engineer.
  • 7+ years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.

Strong understanding of DNS and NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP protocols. Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, intrusion detection, and antivirus technologies. Experience with encryption and authentication technologies required. Strong presentation skills.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. Graduate Degree favorable.

Fortinet offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time. On-target earnings for this position are expected to be $200,000 - $240,000 per year. Exact salary offers will be determined by factors such as the candidate's subject knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program, and this position is also eligible for commissions based on the terms of the Sales Compensation Plan.
