We are seeking a skilled Laborer/Groundman to join our team at MasTec Communications Group. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in the installation and maintenance of telecommunications infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Perform general labor tasks on construction sites, including digging trenches, unloading materials, and preparing job sites.
  • Conduct manual tasks such as excavation, material handling, and equipment operation.
  • Assist in the placement of conduit and other telecommunications equipment.
  • Support with trench digging and closing, as well as the movement of materials and vehicles.
  • Conduct maintenance services, including cleanup, vehicle washing, and landscaping.
  • Operate various vehicles and equipment, including trucks and other machinery.
  • Troubleshoot RF and Fiber line and equipment issues.
  • Construct and repair underground RF and Fiber service.
  • Learn to read and construct from design schematics and maps.
  • Learn all inventory and equipment required for these projects.
Requirements
  • Safety is a top priority in our organization, and you must be committed to following all safety procedures and protocols.
  • You must have a track record of completing work with a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • You should be able to lift and carry up to 70 pounds and have the ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams.
  • You must have a valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
  • You should be able to work in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
