JAKTOOL is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Engineer to enhance our precision prototype services through effective programming and machinery operation, utilizing advanced engineering technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and document intricate manufacturing processes, including:
- Selection of tooling, work-holding techniques, machining and finishing methods, work instructions, and control plans.
- Develop custom tooling and fixtures to facilitate the prototype manufacturing and qualification process.
- Apply and interpret Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Utilize precision inspection tools and validation instruments such as optical comparators and micrometers.
- Manage resources effectively to optimize throughput and adhere to production schedules.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in manufacturing and industry practices.
- Oversee and coordinate project timelines.
- Engage in product development and design review meetings periodically.
- Collaborate with team members to establish operational procedures, troubleshoot system issues, and provide technical insights.
- Employ problem-solving methodologies, including root-cause analysis, to devise solutions and ensure reliability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited institution.
- A minimum of 2 years of practical experience in machine shop prototype manufacturing may substitute for formal education.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrated expertise as a Manufacturing, Process, or CNC Engineer.
- Proficient in a CNC machining environment within a Lean manufacturing culture.
- Experience in CNC programming and execution is essential.
- Familiarity with software and machinery such as Mastercam, HAAS, and DMG Mori.
- Experience with ISO 9001 standards.
