Role Summary: We are seeking an enthusiastic Lead Teacher to oversee our program at a local elementary school. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Healthy Kids Program.

Employment Status: Part-Time, Non-Exempt

Working Hours: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM / 3:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Compensation: $17 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure adherence to state guidelines, organizational policies, and school regulations.
  • Engaging Activities: Facilitate interactive and enjoyable learning experiences based on our curriculum, which includes fitness, STEAM, academics, and arts, while also supporting homework completion.
  • Operational Management: Handle essential administrative tasks such as maintaining accurate attendance records and ensuring adequate staffing levels.
  • Communication: Foster open communication with families through our dedicated app.
  • Team Coordination: Collaborate with your supervisor to keep them informed of daily operations and address any challenges promptly, ensuring a high standard of care and a positive work environment.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the Lead Teacher position, candidates must meet one of the following educational and experience criteria:

  • An Associate degree in Child Development, Elementary Education, Physical Education, Recreation, or a related field, along with two years of experience working with children under 13, including one year in a supervisory role.
  • A recognized credential in School-Age Child Care, plus two years of experience working with children under 13, including one year in a supervisory capacity.
  • Two years of college with 18 credits in relevant fields, alongside two years of experience working with children under 13, including one year in a supervisory role.

Additional Requirements:

  • Successful completion of a background check, including fingerprinting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a friendly demeanor, with the ability to connect with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Physical capability to engage actively with children, including lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
