Job Summary

As a Newborn Resuscitation/Perinatal RN at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care to newborns and their families. This position requires a skilled and compassionate nurse who can work collaboratively with the healthcare team to deliver exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment: Conduct thorough multi-system assessments to identify patient needs and develop individualized care plans.
  • Planning: Develop and implement nursing plans of care that prioritize patient needs and coordinate care activities with other healthcare disciplines.
  • Implementation: Initiate appropriate measures to manage patient care, including administering medications and performing procedures as needed.
  • Evaluation: Continuously evaluate patient responses to treatment and participate in quality assurance activities to improve patient outcomes.
Requirements
  • Minimum 9 months of RN experience
  • 1 year of newborn resuscitation and stabilization experience in an LDRP/L&D or NICU setting or successful completion of MCWH fellowship
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Registered Nurse License (in the state where care is provided)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program required at hire
  • Basic Life Support
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous healthcare experience
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field
  • L&D or Postpartum experience
  • 2 years of experience in LDRP/L&D or Level II/III Nursery with resuscitation
