Job Summary

Hillsboro Medical Center is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team as a per diem travel nurse. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and supporting the growth and development of our nursing staff.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to laboring patients, antepartum patients, and post-partum patients and their newborns in a safe and compassionate manner.
  • Triage patients in our 2 triage rooms and provide MSE's (Medical Screening Exams) as needed.
  • Circulate and recover patients from our OR suite and private rooms.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with best practices and evidence-based care.
  • Support the growth and development of new nurses to the LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum) unit.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in Labor and Delivery.
  • Active Oregon RN license.
  • Current BCLS (Basic Life Support), AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications.
  • STABLE (Safe Transition of Care for Better Labor and Delivery Experience) certifications preferred.
  • Relief charge experience and preceptor experience.
  • A depth of experience to support a majority of new nurses to LDRP.
Additional Information
  • AHA (American Heart Association) Provider certification required. Instructor certifications are not acceptable.
  • ARC (American Red Cross) and RQI (Resuscitation Quality Improvement) certifications are not acceptable.
  • Hillsboro Medical Center will accept AHA HEARTCODE certifications.
  • Certificates of Completion are acceptable for AHA certs pending e-cards, provided they are signed by the instructor.
