Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Correctional Officer to join our team at the Wilson County Sheriff's Department. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining the safety and security of our facility and its inmates.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Receive and process new prisoners, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  2. Oversee security measures, including monitoring inmate activities and responding to emergencies.
  3. Issue supplies and assign temporary housing to inmates, ensuring their needs are met.
  4. Provide regular visual observation and supervision of prisoners, preventing misbehavior and maintaining order.
  5. Develop strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with inmates, respecting their rights and dignity.
  6. Attend Tennessee Corrections Institute and obtain certification within one year.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma and be able to pass a background check. You will also need to provide a Social Security card and Photo ID to process your application.
