Job Description:


The Hematopathology Service within the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at MSK is in search of an exceptional academic hematopathologist at the Assistant or Associate Attending Pathologist level.

Experience and qualifications in flow cytometry, molecular diagnostics, or coagulation are highly desirable.

The Hematopathology and Hematology Services at MSK, led by distinguished professionals, represent one of the largest clinical practices in the United States dedicated to the diagnosis and care of patients with hematological malignancies.

Our services comprise a team of 24 faculty members, including hematopathologists, immunologists, and clinical pathologists, supported by a dedicated group of allied health professionals and cutting-edge laboratory infrastructure. This includes automated hematology platforms, digital and computational pathology systems, immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cellular immunology, coagulation, proteomics, cytogenetics, and molecular pathology laboratories.

MSK boasts world-class clinical and research programs in both lymphoid and myeloid malignancies, offering unparalleled opportunities for collaborative research and funding.


In this role, you will:
  • Deliver diagnostic services in hematopathology, immunology, and hematology for patients with solid tumors and hematological malignancies.
  • Foster and support translational and clinical research in hematological malignancies.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary disease management teams.
  • Participate in the education of fellows and allied health staff.

The ideal candidate possesses:
  • Board certification in Anatomic Pathology and/or Clinical Pathology.
  • Subspecialty training and board certification or eligibility in hematopathology.
  • A robust academic record in the subspecialty.
