Senior Staff Accountant

About the Role: As a key member of our expanding finance team, the Senior Staff Accountant is dedicated to ensuring the precise and timely reconciliation of various trial balance accounts, alongside the preparation of both standard and non-standard journal entries. Our client, a local manufacturing entity, provides competitive compensation based on experience, along with comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance. The Senior Staff Accountant will report directly to the CFO and will take on a leadership role within the finance department.

Compensation: Base salary ranges from $75,000 to $80,000
In-office opportunity

Key Responsibilities:
  • Reconcile essential balance sheet and income statement accounts
  • Prepare Sales Tax returns for over 30 states, including State, County, City, and Special Jurisdiction tax returns
  • Generate and post journal entries through manual entry and Excel uploads
  • Engage in the month-end closing process
  • Compile and distribute financial statements and management reports
  • Assist in the development of forms and manuals for the accounting department

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of general accounting or auditing experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
