About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer to join our AWS Billing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing scalable and efficient systems to process large amounts of data and generate monthly charges for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop software applications to process big data and distributed systems at trillions of transactions scale
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with other AWS services
  • Develop and maintain high-quality code, following best practices and coding standards
  • Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve the overall quality of the codebase
  • Work closely with the team to identify and prioritize features and bug fixes

Requirements
  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base pay for this position ranges from $151,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $261,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
