Position Overview:
The Kitchen Sanitation Specialist plays a crucial role in upholding cleanliness and hygiene standards within our establishment. This position involves the use of both machine and manual cleaning techniques to ensure that all kitchenware, including dishes, utensils, and glassware, are spotless and ready for use. The Specialist will also assist in maintaining the dining area and managing waste disposal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Exhibit a professional demeanor and a welcoming attitude at all times.
- Sort and rinse used dishes, glassware, and utensils effectively.
- Regularly empty and sanitize all waste containers.
- Maintain cleanliness in outdoor areas, including parking lots and dumpsters.
- Ensure all dishware and food storage areas are kept clean and organized.
- Restock supplies as needed to maintain operational efficiency.
- Assist in clearing tables in the dining area when required.
- Safely store all food deliveries in designated areas, adhering to food safety protocols.
- Promptly address spills or broken items to maintain a safe environment.
- Report any cleanliness or maintenance issues to the management team.
- Follow a sanitation checklist every two hours and comply with all hygiene policies.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Qualifications:Education & Experience:
- Minimum age of 17 years.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
- Spanish language skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Possession of a valid Food Handler Certificate is required.
- Must demonstrate teamwork and a strong customer service orientation.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven and slippery surfaces for extended periods.
- Effective communication with staff regarding food safety matters throughout the shift.
- Capability to lift, bend, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Regularly carry full service trays and work in a wet, soapy environment.
- Engage in physically demanding activities for the duration of the shift.
