Electronics Warfare Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electronics Warfare Specialist to join our team at The Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory. As an Electronics Warfare Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced electronic warfare systems, including radar and communications systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop advanced electronic warfare systems, including radar and communications systems
  • Conduct research and development of new electronic warfare technologies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electronic warfare systems into operational environments
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and reports

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Ability to establish relationships and effectively interact in diverse teams, with management and external sponsors, and across organizational boundaries
  • Demonstrated initiative, an open and curious mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to obtain an Interim Secret level security clearance by start date and ultimately obtain a Top Secret level clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics
  • Track record of successfully solving complex challenges
  • Prior internship or research experience in signal processing, electromagnetics, firmware, software, radar, FPGA, software-defined radios, antennas, jamming, RF engineering, wireless engineering, communications, electro-optical engineering, infrared systems, artificial intelligence, autonomy, machine learning
  • Active security clearance
