Position Overview:
Tanner Medical Center is seeking a dedicated full-time Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Tanner Primary Care. This role is designed for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a clinical environment.
Role Responsibilities:
The Advanced Practice Provider will deliver comprehensive patient care through thorough evaluations, assessments, and treatments in a medical office setting, adhering to state licensure regulations under the guidance of the medical director.
This position involves close collaboration with clinic personnel, hospital departments, and community organizations.
Position Structure:
- Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Primary Location: Clinic-based role
- Patient Management: Responsible for managing a personal patient roster and providing coverage for colleagues as needed
- Support: Access to exceptional clinical, administrative, and management resources
- Technology: Utilization of EPIC EMR system across the organization
- Compensation: Competitive salary accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package
- Liability Coverage: Malpractice insurance provided
Educational Requirements:
Master's Degree in a relevant field
Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
Experience:
Preferred six months of relevant experience
Licenses and Certifications:
*Registered Nurse License in Georgia (for NP)
*Georgia Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant License
*Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification
Qualifications:
*Effective communication skills with medical staff and diverse populations
*ACLS certification recommended
*Additional certifications may be required for specific specialties (e.g., ACLS, PALS)
*Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Georgia
*Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (MSN) or Physician Assistant program
*Ability to interact tactfully and effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
*Commitment to maintaining confidentiality
*Compliance with credentialing standards
*Cognitive ability to interpret patient medical records and physician orders
*Adherence to established clinical standards
*Prior experience in a similar specialty is preferred.
