We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Social Service Assistant to join our team at Axess Family Services. As a key member of our support staff, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and stimulating environment for our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the efficient running of the facility and its therapeutic programming.
- Answer phones, direct inbound calls, and take messages.
- Keep the front office organized and maintain a list of office and facility supplies.
- Conduct regular fire drills and check fire extinguishers.
- Prepare rooms for incoming residents and maintain medication logs.
- Process donations and complete check requests as needed.
- Prepare meals for residents on occasion and track therapeutic attendance.
- Assist residents with communication and liaison with various agencies.
- Accompany residents to appointments as needed and promote anti-discriminatory practice.
- Adapt to the environment and provide support to ensure residents experience an improved quality of life.
- Attend staff meetings and trainings as required and foster positive working relationships with staff members.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
- Experience working in crisis intervention preferred.
