Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Professional to join our team at the University of Georgia. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for implementing and managing small plot field and greenhouse studies year-round.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement field and greenhouse experiments to collect data and advance our understanding of agricultural research
- Supervise and train undergraduate and/or graduate students in research techniques and methodologies
- Maintain and repair lab and field equipment to ensure optimal research conditions
- Collaborate with research farm and greenhouse staff to ensure seamless operations
- Contribute to the development of research proposals and reports to secure funding and disseminate results
Requirements:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. plant biology, agronomy, horticulture)
- Proven experience in research and laboratory settings
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
