Position Summary
This role involves working within a level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the University of Maryland Medical Center, alongside two additional level III regional NICUs. The selected candidate will contribute to our mission of enhancing children's health through innovative clinical programs and expanding research initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hold a faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics at a level appropriate to experience.
- Engage in the education and training of residents and NICU fellows.
- Demonstrate board certification or eligibility in Neonatology, with strong clinical and teaching capabilities.
- Participate in clinical and translational research, as well as quality improvement projects.
- Collaborate with local community physicians to enhance patient care.
- Utilize advanced practice providers available 24/7 for in-house support.
- Contribute to the Maryland Regional Neonatal Transport Program, facilitating transport for critically ill infants.
- Engage in research focused on substance use in pregnancy.
- Eligible for H1B visa sponsorship.
