Responsibilities
- Deliver an exceptional customer experience. Employ a proven sales methodology to identify each customer's distinct sleep requirements and guide them in selecting Sleep Number products that promise "the best sleep of their life."
- Foster relationships with customers and team members. Communicate product features, benefits, promotional details, and store procedures effectively. Ensure timely and relevant follow-ups with customers and provide coaching to employees.
- Oversee store operations, including recruitment, management, training, and sales activities, ensuring productivity, adherence to company policies, and team efficiency.
- Utilize company programs and tools to enhance local market visibility and drive store traffic. Exhibit a relentless drive for results. Hold yourself and your team accountable for becoming trusted, successful "Sleep Experts" and consistently surpassing sales targets.
- Sleep Number Sales Managers are self-driven leaders who think ambitiously, consistently act with integrity, and strive for success.
- 3+ years of demonstrated sales management or team leadership experience with a history of achieving and exceeding objectives, preferably in a premium or specialty retail environment.
- Proven success in recruiting, training, engaging, and retaining top talent.
- Proficient in utilizing technology essential for store operations (e.g., POS systems) and sales presentations (e.g., interactive demonstrations, tablets); preference for technology enthusiasts and early adopters.
- Able to set a positive example in a dynamic, growth-focused work environment; dedicated to continuous improvement.
- Motivated by a performance-based compensation structure.
- Flexibility to work a varied schedule; typical retail hours including evenings and weekends.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and demonstrate proficiency in the English language. Additional language skills are a plus.
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; further education and training preferred.
- Guaranteed base salary, in addition to commission and bonus opportunities.
