We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer 3 to join our team at HII's Newport News Shipbuilding division. As a key member of our E63 Power Group, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing electrical components, equipment, and systems for our Nimitz Class Aircraft Carriers.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and develop electrical equipment, components, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
- Research and develop new electrical technologies and systems to improve the performance and efficiency of our aircraft carriers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate electrical systems with other shipboard systems.
- Provide technical leadership and support to junior engineers and technicians.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on power systems and electrical systems design.
- Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles, including circuit analysis, power systems, and electrical machines.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
