About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Route Sales Representative to join our team at Smithfield Foods. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling and merchandising our products at local stores, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate records of sales and inventory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver products to customers, stock retail cases, and rotate inventory as required.
  • Prepare sales invoices for orders obtained and maintain accurate records of business transactions.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Maintain daily Department of Transportation records and provide reports to local management as required.
  • Conduct weekly physical inventory and report any variations to local management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 6 months experience in route sales, grocery, warehousing, or delivery required.
  • A valid Driver's License required, and a valid CDL-B Driver's License will be required within 90 days of start date.
  • Federal Regulations require individuals in this position to be 21 years of age.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal or schedule form.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
