Position Overview:

The Production Cook is responsible for food preparation and service for patients, cafeteria patrons, and catering events, adhering to the guidelines and standards set forth by the department.


Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Review the menu and plan food preparation for the following day, which may involve thawing meat in a timely manner according to the menu. Organize the cooking schedule to ensure timely task completion.
  2. Prepare and serve a variety of foods, including hot grilled and deep-fried items for patients, cafeteria customers, and catering functions, following required recipes.
  3. Conduct basic cold food preparation for salads, desserts, and setups for patients and cafeteria services as needed.
  4. Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing work surfaces, cooking equipment, utensils, and storage areas. Properly cover, label, date, and store leftover food items.
  5. Restock supplies as necessary.
