Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily activities and overall supervision of a classroom of children.
  • Adhere to all safety and health regulations as mandated by relevant authorities.
  • Continuously assess and address each child's developmental requirements.
  • Execute approved lesson plans and maintain a structured classroom schedule aligned with the Primrose Balanced Learning curriculum.
  • Collaborate with leadership to organize parent-teacher meetings and evaluate student progress.
  • Create and maintain an engaging classroom environment that fosters creativity and decision-making.
  • Provide positive reinforcement and set clear expectations for behavior.
  • Manage classroom cleanliness and upkeep of shared spaces.
  • Participate in all mandatory staff meetings and training sessions.
  • Exhibit a professional appearance in accordance with school guidelines.
  • Support additional tasks as directed by management.

Qualifications:

  • Must fulfill the basic requirements set by local childcare regulatory agencies.
  • Prior experience in teaching or assisting in an accredited early childhood program is preferred.
  • Understanding of the emotional, social, and creative needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safety and care of children, including lifting infants as necessary.
  • For Infant and Young Toddler educators, a 2-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is preferred.
  • For Pre-Kindergarten educators, a 4-year degree in early childhood education or a related field is required.
  • For Kindergarten educators, a 4-year degree in early childhood education and state certification to teach is required.
