  • Demonstrate patience with children who have social, emotional, and cognitive delays.
  • Collaborate with parents to create personalized strategies and routines to meet their children's individual needs and goals.
  • Plan and implement educational programs and curriculum that align with developmentally appropriate practices and educational standards.
  • Create engaging learning environments that stimulate children's curiosity and promote exploration and discovery.
  • Foster positive relationships with children and their families, promoting a safe and inclusive environment.
  • Collaborate with other professionals, such as therapists and social workers, to provide comprehensive support to families.

Requirements:

  • Christian with active participation in church.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Early Childhood Education or Christian mentoring.
  • Punctual with reliable transportation.
  • Knowledge and understanding of child development principles and evidence-based parenting strategies.
  • Strong communication skills, with an ability to effectively lead parents and children.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support services for children and families.

Project One Day Houston's mission is to bring the love and safety of Jesus Christ to infants and toddlers in need. We do this via our unique cooperative childcare model whereby we equip economically at-risk parents to assist experienced Early Childhood Educators.
