Job Title: Veterinary Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our team at Lisbon Road Animal Hospital. As a Veterinary Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our veterinarians and veterinary technicians in their duties.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians in all aspects of patient care, including preparing animals for exams and surgery.
  • Perform medical treatments, administer medications, and obtain and handle laboratory specimens.
  • Work closely with staff to ensure a safe and clean environment for animals and clients.
  • Provide excellent customer service, handling animals and their owners with care and compassion.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; veterinary experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Fluency in written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels.
