**Job Summary:**

Under the guidance of experienced professionals, the Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound exams, verifying patient information, and communicating with radiologists to ensure accurate diagnoses. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Conduct thorough interviews with patients to gather medical history and assess risk factors.
  • Explain procedures to patients, including potential side effects and benefits.
  • Set up equipment and acquire high-quality images as per protocol.
  • Review images, document exceptions, and communicate findings to radiologists.
  • Recognize and respond to medical emergencies as needed.
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with residents, student technologists, and new employees to provide imaging education.

**Requirements:**

  • Registered by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARMDS) or registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Sonography (S).
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required.
  • Registered in specialty within 12 months of employment.
