Job Summary:
The Culinary Lead is responsible for overseeing various kitchen stations in a fast-paced culinary setting. This role involves preparing dishes according to established recipes and portion guidelines. The Culinary Lead will assist in organizing and executing all banquet services, manage the receipt of food and supplies, and ensure proper inventory management. Maintaining cleanliness and organization of all storage areas is essential, along with ensuring food items are stored correctly and rotated for optimal freshness. This position also supports the Chef(s) in maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

Job Responsibilities:
- Manage all kitchen stations as required.
- Train and develop kitchen staff, including interns, to meet performance standards.
- Coordinate with the Chef on duty to ensure proper service during shifts.
- Assist in maintaining efficient kitchen operations during assigned shifts.
- Supervise and direct kitchen staff to complete tasks according to established standards.
- Prepare and cook food to order on a daily basis.
- Assist with monthly inventory management.
- Help control labor and food costs.
- Adhere to fire, safety, and health regulations; assist in emergency procedures as needed.
- Report mechanical issues to the engineering department promptly.
- Ensure a safe and clean working environment for all personnel.
- Serve as a role model for team members.
- Maintain a high satisfaction rate and take responsibility for food quality.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years of culinary experience.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous.
- Effective communication skills in English.
- Culinary degree/certification preferred.
- Current certification in state Professional Food Handler Program preferred.
The expected pay range is $25.49. This is the anticipated compensation for this position, with individual decisions based on various factors.
