Position Overview:
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Tax Associate to enhance our operations. The successful candidate will possess a solid grasp of tax regulations and accounting principles, along with exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-focused environment. This role presents a valuable opportunity for professional growth and advancement within the firm.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and S-corporations.
  • Conduct tax research and remain informed about changes in tax legislation and regulations.
  • Assist clients with tax planning and compliance strategies.
  • Prepare financial statements and perform bookkeeping tasks as necessary.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure accurate and timely completion of client engagements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to gather essential information and provide guidance.
  • Assist with IRS and state tax notices, audits, and other tax-related issues.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance technical skills and knowledge.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (required).
  • CPA certification or progress towards obtaining CPA (preferred).
  • 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation and public accounting (preferred).
  • Strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., ProSystem fx, Lacerte, UltraTax) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
