Job Summary

Excelsior Wellness is seeking a skilled and customer-focused Front Desk Associate to support our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will bring strong customer service expertise, a positive and professional attitude, and outstanding multitasking abilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client interactions and ensure a smooth and efficient workflow
  • Assist patients with scheduling, registration, and other administrative tasks
  • Collect co-payments and maintain a cash drawer
  • Open and sort mail, schedule patient appointments, and register patients in the EHR
  • Manage internal referrals, check patients in and out of appointments, and assist providers with follow-up phone calls and letters
  • Scan and index documents, monitor emergency room notifications, and direct them to the appropriate personnel
  • Verify insurance eligibility and maintain accurate records
Requirements
  • Minimum high school education or equivalent; associate degree in healthcare or business-related field preferred
  • Experience in healthcare operations, insurance, and/or scheduling
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently, with a wide range of constituents
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and have a valid state driver's license
