About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Analyst to join our team at American Express. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting our international risk management efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage your quantitative skills to support forecasting, results, and analysis for international write-offs, reserves, and provisions.
  • Develop and enhance forecasting models using statistical and quantitative techniques, including data selection, validation, ongoing monitoring, and governance.
  • Update model documentation submitted to internal validation teams and external regulators.
  • Conduct sensitivity analysis and scenario planning to assess potential outcomes and risks across international markets.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams, including Controllership, Corporate Planning, and Risk.

Requirements

  • Degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics or statistics, with a strong understanding of statistical/predictive models, data extraction, and analytical techniques using complex financial databases.
  • Proficiency in SQL and PowerPoint required.
  • Proactive and results-driven individual with a strong background in financial analysis.
  • Ability to translate ideas into understandable business solutions and demonstrate thought leadership in developing value-added analyses.
  • Ability to present to and influence senior leaders, internal validation teams, and external regulators.

What We Offer

At American Express, we offer a competitive salary range of $55,000.00 to $105,000.00 annually, bonus incentives, and a range of benefits, including comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability benefits. We also offer flexible working models, 20 weeks paid parental leave, and access to global on-site wellness centers.
