Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Systems Engineer to join our team at US Engine Valve. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and specifying advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems to improve manufacturing support and maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and specify advanced electrical, mechanical, and computer-controlled systems to improve manufacturing support and maintenance programs.
  • Develop process specifications, machine parameters, and plans for scrap reduction and uptime improvements.
  • Drive capital projects from strategic planning to purchase, installation, and handoff to operations.
  • Benchmark best-in-class facilities and implement world-class processes, equipment, and workflow.
  • Provide engineering support to production equipment and processes, including advising maintenance.
  • Establish programs for cost savings activities to support overall plant requirements.
  • Advise on improving preventative maintenance programs.
  • Consult with suppliers and internal engineers for continuous improvement programs.
  • Authorize and approve changes to machine tool programs.
  • Train associates on new technologies and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain and follow Quality Management System and Environmental Management System requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution required.
  • Technical knowledge in machine function, processes, control systems, CNC, PLC, servo drives, stepper motor drives, and electrical/electronic systems.
  • Technical knowledge in mechanical design.
  • Detailed abilities in capital equipment justification, project scheduling, and managerial planning.
  • Human relations are essential.
  • Mentor and develop maintenance personnel.
  • Assist other plants/facilities with technical problems.
  • Capable of self-managing assigned project tasks.
