Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester to join our team. As an Automation Tester, you will be responsible for manual testing of all aspects of our software solution, ensuring that it meets the highest standards of quality and functionality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform automation testing of web-based and mobile applications to ensure that they meet the required standards of quality and functionality.
  • Ensure that all defects are entered into the defect tracking system (JIRA) and that they are properly documented and tracked.
  • Develop and maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures to ensure that our software solution is thoroughly tested and validated.
  • Execute manual functional and automation testing based on analysis and understanding of the requirements and deployment environment.
  • Regression test to ensure release quality and provide functional testing to ensure that features are complete and function as expected.
  • Provide support during software installation or configuration and ensure that our software solution is properly installed and configured.

Requirements

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to write test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test scripts from requirements and use cases.
  • Ability to create logs to document testing performed during release sprints and observed defects.
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS/Javascript to be able to read and understand back-end web code.
  • Some prior experience with the standard software development lifecycle (analysis/design, development, testing, implementation, support).
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) to ensure ability to write test plans and to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to show exceptional attention to detail and be able to interact well with others.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are essential, as well as follow-up and follow-through skills to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner.

Education

A Bachelor's in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Physical Sciences, or related field with applicable experience is required. Applicable work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Security Clearance

Qualified applicants may be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.

COVID-19 Vaccination

Successful applicants for this position must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 or approved for a qualifying exemption as a condition of employment. Proof of COVID-19 vaccination required as part of the onboarding process.
