The successful candidate will also be responsible for educating new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma, explaining the screening process, and ensuring accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist donors in completing the screening process, ensuring compliance with SOPs
  • Assess self-administered health history and answer medical questions
  • Perform health screening procedures, including blood pressure, pulse, weight, and temperature checks
  • Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma
  • Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system
  • Alert Group Leader or Supervisor of donor flow issues
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work environment, ensuring sufficient operating supplies and forms are available as needed
  • Follow all Health Safety & Environmental (HSE) and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) policies and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of all personnel, donor, and center information

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Minimum of three (3) months experience in a clerical or customer service related position, preferably in a medical or health provider environment
  • Ability to understand, remember, and apply oral and/or written instructions
  • Ability to understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines
  • Must be able to see and speak with customers and observe equipment operation

Working Conditions

  • Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions
  • Frequently exposed to hazardous chemicals, extreme temperatures, and to blood-borne pathogens
  • Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment while performing specific tasks or in certain areas
