Healthcare Technician

As a Healthcare Technician in our Orthopedic unit at Carle Foundation Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting the licensed nursing staff in providing exceptional patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the well-being of our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist with the maintenance of unit supplies, ensuring a smooth operation of the unit.
• Collect data on assigned patients as directed by the Registered Nurse and ensure accurate documentation.
• Demonstrate competency in selected psychomotor skills, including measurement of vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and measuring and recording intake and output.
Requirements:
• Completion of CNA coursework within the past 24 months or equivalent experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work under the direct supervision of the nursing manager.
