We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Equipment Technician III to join our team at St. Luke's Hospital. As a key member of our biomedical engineering department, you will be responsible for the repair, testing, and calibration of clinical equipment, devices, instruments, and systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled maintenance, electrical safety, and functional testing on various medical equipment, adhering to departmental and manufacturer protocols and specifications.
  • Repair defective medical equipment, including specialized equipment, to meet or exceed manufacturer specifications.
  • Oversee manufacturer or third-party vendors as required.
  • Support clinical equipment, medical staff, technicians, and administrators with technical assistance and advice.
  • Diagnose and correct system and equipment malfunctions.
  • Maintain accurate records for all work performed.
  • Participate in staff in-service educational programs.
  • Participate in pre-purchase evaluation programs as required.
  • Provide technical consultation to other department personnel.
  • Perform evaluation of equipment failures to identify trends, design, and/or use problems.
  • Perform authorized equipment modifications, design, and fabrication of specialized devices.
  • Perform installations of clinical equipment and other technical devices.
Requirements
  • Associate's, bachelor's degree, or military equivalent program in Biomedical Engineering/Electronics, Electronic Technology.
  • Must have and maintain ACI (or current credential) certification as a CBET, CRES, CLES.
  • A minimum of four years' experience in the repair and maintenance of medical equipment.
