Speech Language Pathologist Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at Red Bank Center for Rehabilitation and Healing. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will play a vital role in providing diagnostic and therapeutic services to evaluate, treat, and document care for residents with impaired ability to swallow or communicate due to disease process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate resident's functional needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Follow physician's orders and facility policies to evaluate and treat residents, and complete required documentation for care provided.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and assist in developing communication and/or swallowing decline prevention policies and procedures.
  • Perform diagnostic tests, evaluate, and document evaluations of referred residents in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
  • Provide appropriate treatment to help residents maintain or attain the highest level of communication and/or swallowing function possible within the confines of their physical abilities.
Requirements:
  • A current license as a Speech Language Pathologist in the state of practice.
  • Possess a certificate of clinical competence in speech from the American Speech and Hearing Association, or have equivalent educational requirements and work experience.
  • Solid computer skills, with prior experience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferred.
