Team Dynamics:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to enhance our expanding Finance and Accounting team. This position will report directly to the Director of Accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee month-end accounting activities, including journal entry preparation, flux analysis, financial statement generation, and account reconciliations.
  • Execute General Ledger accounting functions, encompassing cash management, investments, prepaid expenses, deposits, fixed assets, accruals, and stock option accounting.
  • Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and/or Accounts Receivable (AR) processes, including invoice management, cash application, and credit card transaction recording.
  • Reconcile sales tax accounts in Anrok and ensure compliance with current state registrations.
  • Calculate and document account allocations, deferred commissions, and bonus accruals.
  • Provide support for annual audits, tax return preparation (PBCs), system implementations, and various projects as needed.
  • Establish and maintain comprehensive supporting documentation and internal controls.
  • Administer lease accounting in accordance with ASC 842 standards.

Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience.
  • CPA certification is advantageous.
  • Previous experience in a startup environment is preferred.
  • Thorough understanding of US GAAP.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and Google Sheets, including vlookups, xlookups, pivot tables, and complex formulas.
  • Familiarity with Sage Intacct and/or Netsuite is preferred.
  • Able to adapt to various roles in a dynamic startup or growing company setting.
  • Proactive and hands-on approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
