Key Responsibilities- Assist registered nurses and providers in collecting patient data and implementing care plans.
- Organize and prioritize nursing care activities to meet patient needs.
- Implement age-appropriate interventions based on individual patient needs.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of care and contribute to patient outcomes.
- Provide ongoing education and reinforcement of care plans.
- Ensure a safe environment and safe delivery of care.
- Assume responsibility for professional development and contribute to the growth of others.
- Demonstrate teamwork in delivering patient care.
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
- No experience required, but licensure as a Practical Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia is necessary.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is required.
- May require a valid Virginia Driver's License (VADL).
The job may require standing for prolonged periods, frequent travel, and bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills are necessary, as well as the ability to write legibly and lift/push/pull lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious disease.
