Job Summary

The University of Pittsburgh is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Nurse II to support clinical research projects by coordinating projects and drug trials, assessing patients' qualifications, and facilitating protocols.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate clinical research projects and drug trials, ensuring timely and accurate completion of tasks.
  • Assess patients' qualifications for research participation, including medical histories and physical assessments.
  • Collect and review patient data, lab specimens, and lab results, monitoring for adverse reactions.
  • Administer medications and protocol-specific treatments, performing general laboratory duties and specialized nursing duties as needed.
  • Train new staff and ensure regulatory adherence, collaborating with investigators, sponsors, and research coordinators.
  • Participate in the development of internal review board submissions and maintain accurate records.
Requirements
  • RN license in PA and a BS in Nursing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in clinical research or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions
