About the Role:

  • We are looking for a highly skilled professional with a Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics and 9+ years of experience in statistical methods research and development.
  • The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in one of the following scientific topics: Adaptive Design, Multiplicity, Bayesian Methods, including Dynamic Borrowing, Master Protocols, Non-Proportional Hazards, RWE/RWD, Advanced Predictive Modeling.
  • They will be responsible for formulating, developing, and implementing innovative novel statistical analysis methods and study designs across therapeutic areas.
  • The Director of Statistical Methodology will work closely with the Head of Statistical Methodology to implement the vision and strategy of the Statistical Methodology function within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Statistical Lead: Function as the statistical lead on statistical topics influencing senior leadership decisions.
  2. Methodological Solutions: Develop methodological solutions to problems identified via StuDIO in close collaboration with study teams.
  3. Communication: Translate complex information into layman's terms and communicate findings to cross-functional teams.
  4. Team Collaboration: Work closely with Biostatisticians and other cross-functional team members to drive the development of statistical methods.
  5. Mentorship: Mentor junior statistical methodologists to help them grow their technical and soft skills.

What You'll Need:

  • Ph.D. in Statistics/Biostatistics with 9+ years of experience.
  • Deep expertise in one of the following scientific topics (with proven publication records) and working knowledge of the others.
  • Working knowledge of scientific computing/programming (SAS, R or C++ and Bayesian packages).
  • Ability to summarize technically/analytically complex information for a non-technical audience.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment with good interpersonal, communication, writing, and organizational skills.
