About the Role


As a Medical Support Specialist on our rehabilitation team, you will play a vital role in supporting physical therapists and assistants in providing high-quality care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing treatment areas and equipment, assisting patients during therapy sessions, maintaining a clean and organized clinic environment, and providing backup support to office staff when needed.



Key Performance Responsibilities:



  • Obtain and position equipment and supplies for use by therapists
  • Assist therapists in supporting patients during therapy sessions
  • Monitor patients during treatment and notify therapists of any concerns
  • Perform routine modality treatments as approved by therapists
  • Maintain adherence to safety, infection control, and universal precautions policies
  • Assist with clerical duties and support office staff as necessary


Requirements:



  • High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience preferred
  • Interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy or related field (optional)
