USPI is seeking a highly skilled and motivated PACU Registered Nurse to join our team in a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center environment. As a PACU Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation.
Key Responsibilities:- Implement all physician orders and provide continuity and quality of nursing care for all patients.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient and family care in preparation for discharge.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide total comprehensive patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient and family care.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Currently licensed in the state.
- Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in PACU or ICU.
- Critical Care or PACU experience preferred.
- Excellent communication and human relations skills.
- Ability to organize and follow through on own initiative.
- Ability to master new skills.
- Thorough knowledge of all phases of perioperative process, including knowledge of surgical procedures and anesthesia implications.
