Job Description

As the Associate Director of Workforce Development, you will lead a team of professionals in operating innovative workforce development and economic development programming for youth and adults in the South Los Angeles area. This role requires a high level of accountability and the ability to oversee daily operations, ensure client-focused service implementation, and manage data entry and grant performance.

The successful candidate will have 5 years of adult programming management experience, a BA degree, and experience managing programs that serve vulnerable populations. They will also have experience with the City of Los Angeles CalJOBS management system and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Additionally, they will be a reliable and flexible team player who works well with minimal supervision and has a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of professionals in operating innovative workforce development and economic development programming
  • Oversee daily operations, ensure client-focused service implementation, and manage data entry and grant performance
  • Develop, implement, and monitor organization and department policies and procedures
  • Provide supervision, coaching, and guidance to program managers
  • Assist with grant-related application requests with federal and private funders

Requirements:

  • 5 years of adult programming management experience
  • BA degree
  • Experience managing programs that serve vulnerable populations
  • Experience with the City of Los Angeles CalJOBS management system
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
