Healthcare Support Professional

About the Job: We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Support Professional to join our team at National Rehab Hospital. As a key member of our patient-centered care team, you will provide direct patient care activities under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
">Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care activities, including assisting patients with ADLs, personal hygiene, and mobility.
- Collect specimens, perform venipuncture/phlebotomy, and obtain EKGs.
- Accurately take and record patient's vital signs, height, and weight.
- Document patient's intake and output, and other pertinent data in the patient's health record.
- Perform routine sterile and non-sterile treatments, including tube feedings, ostomy care, and wound care.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of patient rooms/environment.
- Transport and/or escort patients during discharges, transfers, and/or medical appointments.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Certification: CNA - Certified Nursing Assistant in the District of Columbia. BLS - Basic Life Support. CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification.
- Experience: 1-2 years' experience as a certified nursing assistant. Experience as a care technician preferred.
