Position Overview:
Trinity Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Clinical Assistant/Receptionist to become a vital part of our General Surgery team.

Work Schedule:
Full-time, daytime hours


The Clinical Assistant/Receptionist plays a crucial role in supporting the preparation, examination, and treatment of patients under the supervision of healthcare providers.

This position involves assisting both physicians and patients during examinations with professionalism and care. Additionally, the role includes front desk responsibilities as needed.

The Clinical Assistant is tasked with managing clinical inventories for the practice, guided by the Office Manager/Coordinator/Leader and/or healthcare providers.

Responsibilities include escorting patients to examination rooms, conducting patient interviews, measuring vital signs (such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and documenting this information in the Electronic Health Record system.


Collect necessary laboratory samples, prepare them for collection, and accurately record them in the patient electronic health record. Communicate effectively with relevant departments regarding laboratory protocols and ensure all necessary information is gathered for procedures.

Respond promptly and courteously to telephone inquiries, relaying messages accurately.


Each morning, follow up on voicemail messages and prioritize them before the physician takes action, utilizing the telephone template in the electronic health record for message transmission.

Assist with Quality Metrics and address Gaps in Care.

Perform additional tasks as assigned by management or healthcare providers in a timely and professional manner.

Qualifications:
Medical Assistant Certification or Registration required within 90 days of hire

High School Diploma or equivalent required

Preferred: 1+ year of prior experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician's office
