Inventory Control and Financial Operations Specialist
Overview
Responsible for collecting and organizing operational data for comprehensive reporting and analysis. Support the maintenance of inventory levels and adherence to accounting protocols.
Key Responsibilities
1. Collect and organize pallet tickets, waste documentation, regrind records, and other operational data.
2. Input data into daily reports within specified timelines.
3. Review and amend the company database with any necessary corrections related to daily production activities.
4. Collaborate effectively with plant staff to resolve issues and provide guidance on documentation requirements.
5. Alert Quality Assurance to any inconsistencies between production documentation and hold worksheet figures.
6. Investigate discrepancies in accounting and inventory, such as negative lot dates and variances between customer receipts and bill of lading documents.
7. Maintain accurate records of finished goods, hold items, and partial warehouse inventories within the system.
8. Ensure a systematic filing process for inventory adjustments, bills of materials, and associated documentation.
9. Conduct packaging location checks and perform cycle counts and inventories on the production floor as necessary.
10. Provide varied clerical support for the department, including managing emails and faxing bills of lading in PDF format to clients.
11. Maintain logs, Product Action Forms, and update information in the accounting software.
12. Record the Receipt of Goods in the accounting system.
13. Assist with month-end physical inventory counts on the manufacturing floor and in the warehouse.
14. Support the Inventory & Accounting Supervisor with assigned tasks based on daily operational needs.
15. Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

Education
Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of two years of experience in an accounting environment.
Skills
Proficient in reading, writing, and interpreting documents. Capable of addressing common inquiries or complaints from clients. Able to communicate professionally with vendors. Skilled in problem-solving, data collection, fact establishment, and drawing valid conclusions.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands outlined here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. The role requires the ability to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds, with a maximum distance of 100 feet at least 75% of the time. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is expected to stand, push/pull, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, reach with hands and arms, and walk up to one-third of the time. Sitting and using hands to handle or feel will occur two-thirds of the time; talking or hearing will be required half of the time.
Work Environment
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee may encounter while performing the essential functions of this role. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Employees must be able to perform all tasks in an environment where temperatures may reach 90 degrees Fahrenheit or higher for up to 50% of the time.
Safety Responsibilities
Employees must adhere to warehouse safety protocols. Appropriate hearing protection must be worn for part of the shift. Safety must be maintained while working around equipment at all times. Employees should be capable of operating a forklift in compliance with OSHA standards.
