POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Laboratory Specialist I/Clinical Laboratory Specialist II role entails the analysis of clinical specimens utilizing diverse methodologies to yield precise and timely results. This position necessitates strong problem-solving skills, the ability to troubleshoot equipment, and independent decision-making while adhering to quality control standards.
PRIMARY DUTIES
- Accurately assess clinical specimens in accordance with established protocols.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and address any malfunctions.
- Document critical findings as required.
- Implement quality control measures and resolve any discrepancies.
- Efficiently utilize relevant information systems.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure departmental efficiency.
- Ensure proper identification of patient specimens.
- Correlate laboratory results with clinical data for accuracy.
- Effectively manage multiple projects.
- Independently analyze situations and take appropriate actions.
QUALIFICATIONS
Clinical Laboratory Specialist I
- Must possess a valid license as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Florida.
- Associate's Degree or higher education is required.
- Basic computer proficiency is essential.
Clinical Laboratory Specialist II
- State licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in Florida is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related discipline.
- Proficiency in fundamental computer operations.
