Cardiothoracic Surgeon

HCA Florida Capital Hospital is seeking a skilled cardiothoracic surgeon to join their established practice and growing service line in Tallahassee, Florida.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have experience and comfort level with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement, including open and endovascular aortic procedures. They will also have experience with TAVR, minimally invasive lung surgery, and knowledge of advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgeries, including coronary revascularization, valve repair and replacements, and broad-based thoracic surgery.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, anesthesiologists, surgical, RN, and Critical Care staff to provide high-quality patient care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of advanced cardiothoracic surgical programs, including TAVR, minimally invasive cardiac and robotic thoracic surgery, and aortic surgery.
- Board certification in cardiothoracic surgery.
- Experience with aortic disease, valve repair and replacement, and minimally invasive lung surgery.
- Knowledge of advanced technologies to reduce the invasiveness of thoracic and cardiovascular procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
